Q1) With more surveillance cameras set up, the crime rate would decrease as it would be made easier for police to catch anyone that breaks the law. If CCT are installed in public places, it ca deter crime, provide police with evidence and help citizens feel safer.

Q2)With more surveillance cameras set up, the people might not have as much privacy as last time. It might not be good as there are "eyes" looking at you wherever you go or do anything. If a country would set up CCT in the whole island, it would be very expensive.

Q3)I think Singapore should step up on CCT surveillance as due to the economic down turn, the crime rates have increased. CCT surveillance would be mainly used to scare people from committing a crime and make them think twice as they would consider their consequences as they might be caught easily. If this does not work, it can still be used to catch the people breaking the law and it would overall reduce the crime committed.

Q4)CCT is mainly to monitor public area and should not be used to view other people privacy. Although CCT is supposed to be a useful tool to prevent crimes, it should thought a intruder invading to people's privacy. Generally, if CCT is used properly, it should not be a concern to people's privacy and it should not interfere with mine.
