To me, i feel that Singapore is very important to me. My country, my birth place, my home. When times of war like in 15 feb(WW2), the british did not do anything as they know that it is not their homeland. i bet that if Singapore is in that position again, they would not give up without a fight because all our memories are from here, if we lose our country, what will be left of those sweet memories? they will be turned into a living hell. So we must strive, to protect Singapore.
Like Alfred, i too, agree with Calvin. I believe that it is not one persons job to protect Singapore, but everyone. Everyone has a part to play for our Country, our homeland.
